Thursday Thoughts

Hello and welcome to another edition of Thursday Thoughts, my weekly link up with Jen of Ramblings of a Suburban Mom. Let's dive right in shall we?

Wow, can you believe it's 2016 already? It felt like the last year really flew by. I've made a couple of resolutions this year, and am working on making some life style changes. One of my resolutions is to get back into running and I've made plans to run in a 5k marathon in March. Very excited about that, although my sore legs are less than thrilled right now. Any runners out there? Got any advice for running a 5k or bigger?

For 2016 I want to do a Pan that Palette instead of a Project Pan, and I've chosen this ginormous eyeshadow palette from ELF Cosmetics. My goal is to finish at least half of the shadows (50/100) and hit pan on at least 25% of what's left by the end of the year. I have already finished 20 pans so I'm off to a good start. I think if I finish all 100 shadows I'll treat myself to the Hourglass Ambient Light Palette as a reward. Who's doing a Project Pan for this year?

I have been a busy little shopping bee lately. Between gift cards I got for Christmas and some surprise bonuses from work I've picked up quite a few items over the last few weeks. I've got lots of reviews coming it, but I'm happy to say I love everything I've purchased so far. I hate spending money on something that sucks, you know?

I finally managed to get another YouTube video up! Between the holidays and being so sick for most of December I just wasn't able to film anything for a while. But my December Empties video is up (go check it out, I think it turned out much better than my last video), and I have another video already filmed so there should be another one up in the next week. I'm slowly but surely getting my channel built up, so I'd love it if you would subscribe.

Have you guys seen the Popsugar 2016 Book Challenge? I saw it on Instagram the other day and I think I'm going to do it. I really want to read more this year, so this is the perfect excuse to settle in with a good book or twenty. Anybody else doing the challenge? I'm currently reading a book by a comedian (Stephen Colbert) so I'm getting ready to check off my first book.
