This week's tips and tricks are going to be focused on the dreaded body acne, an oft forgotten area of skin care.
Tip #1: Your hair, or rather your hair care products, may be the cause of the acne on your back and/or shoulders. Keep a banana clip in your shower and use it to tie your hair up after you apply conditioner or any sort of hair treatment. Not only will it keep the products from clogging up your pores but will help keep it in your hair instead of dripping all over the place.
Tip #2: If you exercise, make sure you shower afterwards to wash the sweat off. No time for a shower? Invest in some wipes and use those to desweatify yourself. I'm partial currently to the Kirkland Brand makeup removal wipes, they not only help clean up sweat, oil, and makeup, but also conditions your skin and helps prevent breakouts.
Tip #3: You use acne busting soap on your face, so why not on your body? There are plenty of products out there designed specifically to deal with body acne, give some a shot. I liked the Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bar, it's cheap (yay), lasts a while (double yay), and works great!
Tip #4: If you wouldn't do it to your face, don't do it to your back/chest. There are TONS of "get rid of acne in a day with these surprise ingredients" posts on the internet, but unless you can find valid reviews saying it works without horrifying side effects (rashes, bleeding, worst acne, ect) skip it please. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
