Hair Symphony Brush Set Review

*I received this product free for testing/reviewing purposes. All opinions are 100% my own*

If you were to ask me what my least favorite part of having super long hair is, hands down I would say dealing with tangles. If I don't put my hair back into a braid before bed I can spend almost 10 minutes the next day detangling it.My hair has finally reached where my back connects to my hips, so keeping it looking nice and tangle free is super important to me. Did you know they make brushes specifically to detangle your hair without destroying it? I've been using the Macadamia Professionals brand one, but when I was offered a change to test out and review another detangling brush set I was pretty excited. Like I've said in the past, my hair is important to me and is one of the few things I will spend significant money on to get it healthy.

Hair Symphony's Professional Detangling Set comes with two brushes, which can be used either wet or dry, and a bag to store them in. The brush on the right is your standard paddle brush, which I like to use to smooth my hair down after I have detangled it. There is a nice bit of spring to the pad, which I liked, and the handle is comfortable to hold onto. My son and husband both use this brush quite a bit and I have not heard any complaints from them at all. Like I said, it's a pretty standard paddle brush.

The bag is a nice bonus feature, I like being able to put my brushes in a bag when I travel so this makes them super travel friendly. There is even a little loop on one end so you can hang it, which is what I do. This has eliminated the brushes hogging my teenie tiny apartment bathroom counter, for which my husband is super grateful for. He might be getting a tad grumpy at my beauty products taking over the whole bathroom, my desk, and now the bedroom. The downside to marrying a beauty blogger I guess.

Now onto the brush that had me intrigued. As soon as I got it I realized it is the exact same shape as my Macadamia Professionals brush, which I posted a picture of above. I've been using both brushes and I can 100% say that the Hair Symphony one is an exact dupe for the Macadamia. Both have both long and stubby bristles, which really do pull apart tangles without ripping your hair to shreds. This type of bristle also feels amazing on your scalp, like a little massage every time I brush my hair.

Now the important question is pricing, which one is the better value? The Macadamia one is $15 on Birchbox, while the Hair Symphony Set is $18.85 on Amazon. Face value says Macadamia is the better value, but that doesn't include shipping, which is like $7. Hair Symphony is free Prime shipping AND comes with a paddle brush and a carrying bag. I think the Hair Symphony one is the much better value and honestly looks nicer. I prefer the black/hot pink over the brown/lime green hands down, While I'm glad I have two if I had to only keep one I'd keep the Hair Symphony set for sure just because of the extras. If you have long hair or struggle with detangling hair I highly recommend getting this brush set, it will honestly make a huge difference into how you handle your hair. I'm 100% sure that if I didn't have a detangling brush I'd never let my hair get past my shoulder blades.
