InstaNatural Hair and Skin Haul

*I received this items free for reviewing purposes. All opinions expressed are my own and freely given*

I was once again given the opportunity to review some products for the company InstaNatural, which I'm quickly becoming a fan of, so I of course quickly accepted and dove right into testing everything out. I received four items from them, two of which I love, one that weirds me out, and one that left a rash from my neck down to my butt (not their fault though, keep reading). Since this will be a long post I'm just going to dive right in.

First, the hair care item I absolutely adore. The Superior Hydration Argan Oil Hair Mask is a once a week heavy duty hair mask designed to repair dry, damaged hair and transform it into the soft, shiny locks we all want. This is a little more involved than most other hair masks, I'm going to warn you, but it is so worth it. Basically after washing your hair you towel dry it, apply this mask and let it sit for 5-15 minutes, then rinse off. I cheat a little bit and I just squeeze the water from my hair before applying it, then I do the rest of my showering before I wash it out. My hair always ends up super soft and fluffy and the shiniest it's been in a while, so well worth the extra work.

Have I mentioned yet it smells like candy? So yummy! And there are so many good for your hair ingredients in it, it really is like a power smoothie for your hair. I will for sure continue to use this on a weekly basis and since the price isn't horrific (just over $17 at the time of this writing) I will be picking more up once my jar runs out.

My second favorite item was the Dead Sea Mud Mask. Unless you are new to this blog you probably know I LOVE masks, especially mud masks, so this was actually the item I was most excited to try. This contains actual Dead Sea mud, so you know it is full of good for your skin minerals, as well as shea butter and jojoba oil to really help moisturize your skin. Like most mud masks you place it on, wait for it to dry, then wash it off with warm water.

Ok, I know it looks horrible but it is a mud mask, and unlike some of the other ones I like this has no artificial colors or fragrances. In fact there is really no odor to it at all, which is a nice change of pace from my usual picks. Like most mud masks it really sucked all the oil off my face, leaving it dry but not dried out if that makes any sense. The neatest thing is that where the pores on my nose and forehead (aka my trouble zones) are I could see a black dot forming when the mud dried. This mask literally sucked all the crud out of my pores, which makes it a winner in my book. I like being able to see instant results, and seeing the nasties getting pulled out was very satisfying. This is a little spendy (just under $26 at the time of this writing) but I have a feeling this jar will last me for quite a while so I think it works out fine. I will continue to use this jar and will more than likely buy another when I've finished it.

I'm a pretty brave person, I'll try anything once, including 100% Pure Ultra Refined Emu Oil. Yes, you read that right. This is a bottle of refined Emu fat, turned into a liquid so you can slather it on your dry skin. If you hadn't guessed it this is the item that weirds me out. This is basically the non-vegetarian version of using olive oil on your skin. And it actually works great. I tested it for a week on only one knee and I could actually tell the difference by day two. There is no weird KFC odor like I was afraid, in fact it didn't interest my cats at all so I'm calling it officially descented. The pump top makes it easy to dose out exactly as much as you need, which isn't a lot since it spread so well. Did I like this product? Yes, I thought it was a great skin moisturizer. Will I continue to use it? I'm not really sure to be truthful. I don't dislike it, it just weirds me out a bit. Ask me again in a month.

I was also very excited to try this Luxurious Argan Oil Hair Treatment and Elixir, so excited in fact I failed to double check the ingredients before I agreed to review it. In case you didn't know I am very, very allergic to coconut. I've been doing some allergy therapy which has been slowly helping me well....not die if I touch coconut to put it bluntly. I've been able to use products, like the hair mask above, that have a small amount of coconut in them without hives, rashes, no breathing, and death. So being stupid, I thought "hey, I know there's a ton of coconut in this hair oil but I'll be fine." I was so very wrong. Horrible rash/hives from my neck to my butt, basically anything the oil touched when I washed it out. I was at least smart enough to not put it on my scalp, otherwise I'd be bald. I will say this though, it left my hair very soft the second time I used it (yes, I was stupid enough to try it a second time, the first time I didn't wash it out well enough and it left my hair greasy). I think for people who are NOT allergic to the ingredients in it this is a really great product and will leave their hair soft and manageable. Basically anybody but me this will be perfect for. I will be passing this onto a friend who likes things like this before I accidentally kill myself with it.

Once again InstaNatural has really impressed me with not only the quality but the sheer amount of innovative products they offer. I think I'm going to add them to my list of brands I will always try, they really haven't let me down and they seem to really care about the products they offer. They are also a USA based company, which is important to me as a consumer. I highly recommend you check them out and give some of their products a try.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
